Writing the books you secretly love

Progress is Progress

First, I would like to let everyone know that MCM will happen on Wednesday this week, so be on the lookout for that tomorrow.

Now, the reason I decided to write this post. For the last month, I have been kind of stuck. I finished writing Fire Princess, so I picked up where I left off on the sequel to Ryann’s Revenge …

I HATE it! I am ready to scrap the whole 25,000-word doc and start over.

The Title Has Been Found!

It is an Honor

I am squirming in my seat … and no, not for the typical reason. *LOL* I am squirming because I cannot contain my excitement! I found out that I was nominated for an award!!!!! Actually, Ryann’s Revenge was … but I was nominated for a reward!

I was nominated for Best Contemporary Romance and I could not be more honored! When I got the email telling me that someone who read my book took the time to submit Ryann’s Revenge for a reward, I nearly cried. Not because it is a huge reward that will make a huge impact on my career (it may, but I doubt it) but because someone who liked my book took the time out of their busy day for me. For little old me! Time is the most precious thing in this world and someone spent it on me.

Ok, enough mushy stuff before I start crying. If you would like to vote for me or any of the other AMAZING authors who were also nominated you can follow the link below.

Thank you, readers!

Because without you,

I would not be writing.

Oh, and if you haven’t read it yet and would like to,

You can get a copy here!

Main Character Monday

Today on Main Character Monday we are going to do something we have never done before! Are you ready for this? We are going to interview the Hero! That is right! For the first time in MCM history, we are only interviewing the male main character!

So who is making Main Character Monday history you ask? It is the one and only Cara Bristol! Did you expect anything less from this amazing author? I think not. I get the privilege of interviewing March from Cara’s latest book Claimed by the Cyborg.

A Daring Proposal By Jeanne St. James

Ok, so I had a total fangirl moment last week when Lesley Clark told me that she had given my name to Jeanne St. James for a possible Main Character Monday post. So, me being the shy fangirl that I am, it took me a day or so to finally work up the nerve to contact her and ask her if she would like to take part in my Main Character Monday. While we are still working out the details for MCM, I am happily promoting her new book, A Daring Proposal, which was released last week … I quickly got myself a copy.

Main Character Monday

WOOT WOOT! It is that time of the week again! MONDAY … As in Main Character Monday! This week we have Brady Golden! I have gotten to know here while getting ready for this MCM and Brandy is such a sweetheart. I loved working with her, and hope we get to do it again soon. Anyways! I am SO excited about this book! I got a sneak peek … a big one *lol* and it is AMAZING!
Oh! You may want to know the name of the book I am talking about right? This is her new book Staking His Claim.

Main Character Monday

It is that time of the week again! Main Character Monday! The author this week is a “new to me” author, Dakota Willink. And I must say, I am looking forward to whatever she has next! I love her work and the amount of detail she gives us is PERFECT.

The book today, Stepping Stone, is part of a series and I must say the first book had some MAJOR curve balls, and I LOVED it! I  loved it to the point that I WAS ecstatic when I didn’t have to wait for the second one … it would have possibly killed me to wait. *dramatic shiver*  I loved it so much that I am hosting both of the main characters this week! So, I give you Alex and Krystina from Dakota Willink’s Stepping Stone.

The Extra Long Weekend

Today, after much arguing back and forth, my bio family is descending upon my house. Is it bad to say that I am not looking forward to it? *Head Desk*

That is not fair of me to say, I should be happy that they are coming and enjoy it … right? I mean … it has been a year since they were here and my kids will love having them here. <—– This is what I keep telling myself, but the dread of all that comes with them is overwhelming.

Don’t get me wrong, I love my grandmother, sisters, nephews, and my sister’s fiance, but my incubator (aka the woman who birthed me) is who I am worried about being here. It is her that causes all the issues. It is her that pits my sisters and I against each other, and it is her that bitches about everything!

Worst of all, it is her that causes trouble between the Dom and me. She will sit in her chair and bring up things that have caused us to fight in the past or compare him to my father and how much my husband is like him. She will keep doing that until I snap at her or start to believe what she says and snap at my husband … And we all know what happens we a sub snaps.

So … if you do now hear from me by Monday for MCM … I am either in jail for killing the incubator or still bent over my husband’s lap.

Wish me luck!
