Learned the Hard Way

So once again I am playing catch up on my blog. I don’t know why I do this to myself. I LOVE to blog, but I always put it on the back burner because I think I will do it later … then life gets in the way and poof! I didn’t get it done. So … This is my promise to try to do better, and my promise to myself because blogging helps to see things from a different perspective.

So, I am blogging about my sad misfortune a couple of weeks ago. We were at a friend of ours house. These friends are the only ones in our city that know about our practice of the lifestyle and how things are usually dealt with here at the Karr household. As a result, the Husband and I are more relaxed and at home at their house. The husband doesn’t embarrass me with or anything like that, but he will openly give me the eye, playfully threaten to paddle my ass, and if I cross one of the lines I am not supposed to, he does not hesitate to pull me aside and whisper promises of retribution when we get home.

As if I was not busy enough already …

As if I didn’t have enough on my plate already I decided to go back to school … I know, right?

As some of you know, I am an EMT, and I absolutely LOVE it! I love it so much that last year I applied to Paramedic school and got in. I ended up not being able to do it because I was lead to believe that the classes were at night and they were not and I could not work a regular job with the classes, so I dropped it. I was devastated. It was like someone took a pin to my balloon. I was mopey for about a month.

Main Character Monday

It is that time of the week again … Ok, so it was that time of the week a couple of days ago, but hey, we can pretend right?

Relationships Are Hard

Relationships are hard. They just are. No matter what you believe or practice they are hard. And going from a “vanilla” relationship to a D/s or DD or whatever you identify your relationship as is even harder.

You have to relearn your normal. You have to figure out what works for you and your spouse. On more than one occasion, you will have to figure out if it is worth it or not.

Main Character Monday

Who is ready for a new Main Character Monday! I know … I know … It is not Monday … but this is my blog, and it can be a Monday if I want it to be *LOL*

This week I am hosting Juliana Conners and her new book Please Boss. I must say, I totally want to be Ruby when I grow up. She is freaking awesome! I wish I had the balls to put purple streaks in my hair or do anything other than my natural brown.

Progress is Progress

First, I would like to let everyone know that MCM will happen on Wednesday this week, so be on the lookout for that tomorrow.

Now, the reason I decided to write this post. For the last month, I have been kind of stuck. I finished writing Fire Princess, so I picked up where I left off on the sequel to Ryann’s Revenge …

I HATE it! I am ready to scrap the whole 25,000-word doc and start over.

A Little Hiatus

Sorry for my lack of posts lately. I have been elbow deep in Fire Princess edits and getting it ready for the editor. Don’t worry, I am going to pick on Main Character Monday again this week and will start posting at my normal rate again. Now, if you will excuse me, I have a sequel to Ryann that needs to be written.

Happy Reading!

It is an Honor

I am squirming in my seat … and no, not for the typical reason. *LOL* I am squirming because I cannot contain my excitement! I found out that I was nominated for an award!!!!! Actually, Ryann’s Revenge was … but I was nominated for a reward!

I was nominated for Best Contemporary Romance and I could not be more honored! When I got the email telling me that someone who read my book took the time to submit Ryann’s Revenge for a reward, I nearly cried. Not because it is a huge reward that will make a huge impact on my career (it may, but I doubt it) but because someone who liked my book took the time out of their busy day for me. For little old me! Time is the most precious thing in this world and someone spent it on me.

Ok, enough mushy stuff before I start crying. If you would like to vote for me or any of the other AMAZING authors who were also nominated you can follow the link below.
